Nine Y10 students have completed their final expedition for the The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award – Bronze. They have successfully met the criteria for the expedition element after completing a practice and final expedition which saw them navigate their way from Brotton to Guisborough Forest across two days, camping at Park Farm in Kildale.
Our new Year 7 transition students became detectives last week to help solve the mystery surrounding a tragic death. The murder mystery event, organised by the English Faculty, saw all Year 7 students investigate the sudden death of Mrs Joyce Shelby after her body was discovered in a park.
Year 11 students returned as a year group to celebrate the end of their time at Freebrough Academy at their Prom on Friday 6 July 2018. Arriving in style to Gisborough Hall, dressed in their beautiful ball gowns and smart suits, it was a wonderful occasion, not only for the students but also for their proud families.
We want to wish them all good luck and best wishes for the future.
The Year 11 students had their final assembly and signed each other’s shirts to commemorate the end of an era which we hope they look back on with happy memories.

We realise the importance of effective parental partnerships and the impact these positive relationships have on students. For this reason, we are grateful of the ongoing support and commitment from our parents. We greatly appreciate parents/carers for you taking the time to provide feedback regarding the proposed uniform modification at Freebrough Academy.
