Thornaby Academy Weekly Update
We hope this finds you and your family safe and well. We are aware of the challenges being on national Lockdown bring, so thank you for continuing to support the Academy by encouraging your child to complete their work at home.
As always, we will do our utmost to support you and your child during school closure. If you need to contact us, please do so by email on email@example.com or by telephone on 01642 763244. Equally, we rely on your support too by only sending your child to school if they are vulnerable or if you are a front-line worker and there is no one at home to look after them. Home is the safest place for all of us until Lockdown is lifted.
Well-Being & Mental Health
Every week we have continued to update resources and guidance on managing home learning and ensuring we all try to stay as positive as we can during this crisis. Please check our website and social media pages regularly for helpful hints to support your children and family through this crisis.
Free School Meals
From Monday 11 May 2020, Thornaby Academy will adopt the Government’s supermarket voucher scheme. This means that we will issue vouchers electronically rather than through the post. Until then, vouchers will be sent as usual. To ensure that you receive your vouchers, you will need to provide a valid email address and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Details on how to access the vouchers will be provided once we have confirmed your email address. If your child does not currently receive free school meals, but you think you are eligible, please do not hesitate to contact us by email on email@example.com or by telephone on 01642 763244.
The Academy will be closed on Friday 8 May for Bank Holiday. It will re-open to children of Front-line workers and vulnerable children on Monday 11 May at the usual times.
On behalf of staff, please stay safe.
